War of Genesis: Idle Loot left Steam Early Access on October 7, with a launch update announcing paid G-Coins, skin boxes and expanded raid rewards. Its same-day equipment notice instructed affected owners to reconnect and re-equip returned Gems of Luck. That is a dated launch instruction, not newly verified compensation or an order applying to every account today.
New Normal Soft’s official launch announcement ends an Early Access period that began on September 10. Newcomers need to distinguish free entry from the game’s paid systems. For returning players, it is the repair notice rather than the graduation label.
Free entry, paid currency and randomized skins
The Steam listing describes an idle RPG that places a transparent combat overlay on the desktop and lets its character fight automatically. It remains free to play, with in-app purchases. Windows is the listed supported platform; the store requires a network connection and labels Steam Deck compatibility Unsupported. That label is not our device test.
The October 7 update notes, posted ahead of the launch, announce G-Coins purchasable through the Shop for paid products. They also describe Fancy Skin Boxes containing tier 4–6 skins, roulette and synthesis using duplicate skins. The notes refer to specified probabilities, but this reporting has not established the actual odds or cash-to-G-Coin prices.
Free admission therefore does not answer what participating in the paid economy costs. Nor does a currency announcement establish whether spending affects competitive fairness. This is launch reporting, not an installed-build economy assessment.
The update also announces additional Machina raid rewards for members of alliances that did not finish first, equipment artifacts and a combat-power ranking display limited to the top 15,000 players. Those are developer-described changes, not independently tested outcomes.

A specific reconnect and re-equip instruction
The equipment hotfix notice says gear that previously reduced equipment level requirements displayed a different stat after maintenance. The developer says the original stat should display correctly after reconnecting.
A narrower group needs to watch for reissued gems. If a player applied a level-requirement-reduction effect after that day’s maintenance and before October 7 at 09:40 UTC, some stats may have changed. New Normal Soft says incorrectly applied Gems of Luck will be reissued and asks players to equip them again once received.
That is actionable guidance with a defined affected window. Compensation delivery and the repair’s effectiveness have not been verified here.
Mixed reviews include the Early Access period
At 11:16 UTC on October 7, Steam’s all-language, all-purchase review API reported 954 positive and 686 negative reviews, 1,640 total, labelled Mixed. The separately checked browser store showed 1,654 reviews. These populations are kept separate; neither is a launch-only verdict.
Named accounts point to different expectations. 浩然 praised the transparent desktop presentation and simplicity, with 60 minutes recorded at review time. devildeslare criticized slow levelling and the difficulty of catching ranking leaders; that account’s review was marked Early Access and recorded 5,143 minutes.
These deliberately selected positive and negative accounts are not a survey. Idle-game uptime is also not active hands-on testing. The developer separately documented rewards for a review-sharing event; its original conditions and any sampled account’s participation are not established. That is context, not evidence of manipulation.

Steam’s current-player endpoint returned 22,434 at 11:16 UTC on October 7. That historical instant establishes neither a launch surge nor current retention. The useful checks are more concrete: understand the paid systems before spending, and read the equipment notice as guidance for its defined October 7 window, not a new compensation promise. The newer October 21 update announcement is a separate support checkpoint, not a test by this desk. See our PC coverage and gaming news for other reporting.
