Max Miller’s Tasting History: The Board Game has a real crowdfunding audience, but the useful question is whether you want the game behind the channel. Salt Entertainment’s current homepage says its Kickstarter campaign is live and closes November 12. Miller describes a worker-placement design about preparing historical feasts.
The demand signal is concrete and dated. Kickstarter’s November 2 collection listed 2,995 backers and 4,848% funding. Those are November 2 figures, not a live November 7 counter, delivered sales or proof of a good game. They are enough to make this more than a creator announcement with no visible audience.
Start with the decisions, not the souvenirs
In his announcement to patrons, Miller describes cooking feasts with period recipes and ingredients. He names three historical eras at launch, including Ancient Rome. Salt identifies Michael Shinall as the designer and says players gather ingredients and discover recipes.
That gives prospective backers something specific to investigate: how the competition for ingredients feeds into the dishes you can finish. Watching the channel is one reason to notice the project. Enjoying those decisions is the reason to put a game on your table. GameGuideDog has not played it, so this is a buyer check, not a recommendation based on a test session.

A campaign deadline is not a delivery date
Salt’s homepage advertises a free Garum Expansion Pack for campaign backers. Its older announcement still uses “coming soon” language, while the homepage now says “live.” Read the current campaign offer, not an old launch notice, for eligibility and reward contents.
The full current rewards and FAQ were not readable during this check. We are not certifying a delivered price, shipping bill, language edition or arrival date. Check those details for your country before choosing a tier. The November 12 date is the publisher’s campaign close, not a promise that a finished box ships that day.
