For buyers, that means the right move is to pick a lane early. If you want a purchasable convention release, sort for availability. If you want to demo future crowdfunding prospects, watch the prototype and preview tables. If you want retail games that will actually be easy to buy later, resist treating every Gen Con exclusive as a crisis.
