Football Manager 27’s free PC/Mac Launch Preview is scheduled for October 29 at 18:00 GMT, ending November 3 at 18:00 GMT. Sports Interactive has now explained where to find it on each store. The useful distinction is between those five free days, continued preview access for qualifying buyers or subscribers, and the full November 10 launch.

This is a prelaunch access guide, not a hands-on verdict. At our October 28 check, the US Steam page still listed November 10 and said the game was not yet available. We have not downloaded the preview or tested an account’s entitlement.

For US Eastern readers, the start is 2 p.m. EDT on October 29, while the cutoff is 1 p.m. EST on November 3. The daylight-saving change falls between them. This PC/Mac offer does not establish free-preview access for Console, Mobile or Touch editions.

Where to find the download

SI community team member Chris Groves gives these routes in his October 28 preparation post:

Groves warns that store pages may take a few minutes to update. He suggests signing out and back into the platform account if the option has not appeared. These are SI’s instructions for the announced opening, not confirmation that the download is already available.

What happens after November 3?

Free play is not permanent ownership. SI’s detailed announcement and FAQ say players who pre-purchase through a SEGA-approved digital retailer can continue through the paid preview to launch. They also say eligible Game Pass subscribers can continue through their subscription. The named tiers are Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, not every Game Pass plan.

The newer preparation post specifically mentions Steam and Epic purchases when describing continuation. Forum user Nistelrooy asks whether Game Pass players are still included. The earlier explicit FAQ says they are; that is the basis for the promise here, we have not checked that access on a Microsoft account. Check the qualifying offer on your platform before paying.

Will your save survive?

SI says FM27 saves begun during free play can continue into the paid preview and full release without restarting. Its FAQ also describes importing FM24 or FM26 saves, provided the relevant data is on the PC or in the platform account’s cloud storage. That is not a tested cross-store transfer guarantee.

The studio describes a near-final build but warns that some club and player assets may be absent while rights-holder approval is pending. Save importing, reliability and performance still need actual testing. The free window gives you a way to check the game before buying; the access instructions alone cannot supply that verdict.
