Dice Throne Nexus passes 12,000 backers: heroes or Sagas?

2 min read

Dice Throne Nexus has a concrete audience: Kickstarter’s October 29 collection lists 12,304 backers and 3,653% funding. The useful decision is what to buy into: four more combatants, or a cooperative campaign as well?

Those are dated platform figures, not a live counter, delivered sales or a quality verdict. Kickstarter places Nexus first among the five live board-game campaigns in that collection. That establishes attention; it does not tell you which reward fits your table.

Start with the people around your table

The official launch announcement separates four new heroes from SAGAS: The Crimson Code, a solo/cooperative book-format adventure for one to four players. It also says previously released heroes work with Sagas.

That compatibility matters if you already own a roster. Before adding another hero bundle, check whether your actual goal is more head-to-head matchups or a reason for existing characters to cooperate. A larger character count and a new way to play solve different problems.

Compare the package, then the total

The October 13 announcement advertised $60 for the Nexus StrongBox and $145 for a package adding Sagas and accessories. These are launch-announcement prices, not verified October 30 checkout totals.

Use them to frame the comparison, not to budget the delivered purchase. Open the current campaign reward list and check the precise contents, available languages, shipping destination, taxes and estimated fulfillment. Do not assume every item shown in promotional art comes with every pledge.

GameGuideDog has not played Nexus or Sagas. This is a reported buyer guide, not a balance assessment or a recommendation based on table time. The backer count makes Nexus worth investigating. Choose the play format first, then price the smallest reward that actually supplies it.
