Deified has left Early Access, and its first 1.0 Steam read is encouraging without being huge. Unexpected’s tactical roguelite is live at $13.49 in the U.S., down from $14.99 for launch. Steam’s all-language summary showed Very Positive reviews at capture: 274 positive, 12 negative, and 286 total.
That is a real reception floor for a small game. It is not proof that Deified has suddenly broken out. Steam’s current-player endpoint showed 73 people in game when we checked, so the useful buyer read is narrower: this is a well-liked tactical roguelite reaching 1.0, not a launch with enough scale to make momentum claims.
What Deified 1.0 actually puts on the table
Unexpected’s official Steam announcement says the game is now available in version 1.0 after more than two years of development. The Steam listing describes a single-player tactical roguelite built around relic combinations, bosses, skill trees and limited slots. It lists 44 achievements, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.
The platform list is unusually broad for this size of release: Steam currently shows Windows, macOS and Linux support. That is useful checkout information. It is not a Steam Deck verdict, and GameGuideDog has not tested the release’s performance or balance.
The review signal is strong, but keep its scale in view
Steam’s English-language summary was also Very Positive at capture, with 99 positive and 7 negative reviews out of 106. Those numbers make the positive all-language result more than a single-language quirk.
They still do not make every early complaint disappear, nor do they replace a fresh independent review. The relevant distinction is simple: Deified already has a clear positive Steam record, but it does not have a large active audience behind it right now. Treat the review count as a helpful buying signal, not a universal verdict.
Why the 1.0 label matters here
This is not Deified’s first appearance. It is the point where an Early Access game asks players to judge the completed version. The July Steam update said Goblinz Publishing had joined the project and that the team was extending Early Access to prepare the full release. September 21 is the result of that cycle.
That context makes the current Steam snapshot more useful than a bare release-date post. Deified now has a visible price, a finished-version claim from its developer and enough reviews to show that its existing audience is responding well. What it does not have is evidence that 1.0 fixes every issue or that its small player count will grow.
The clean buyer call
For players who like tactical roguelites and relic-heavy buildcraft, Deified 1.0 looks like a credible game to inspect now, especially at its $13.49 launch price. The strong Steam summary gives it a better opening case than many small 1.0 drops get.
For everyone else, there is no urgency argument hiding in the data. The live audience is modest, the review pool can still move, and there is no first-hand GameGuideDog basis for a full review. The right call is interested caution: Deified has earned a closer look, not blind confidence.
